I posted a blog article that gave some updates on latest projects. Having returned to working full-time, writing has slowed down tremendously. Keeping up with this blog and another blog that I started, working on writing projects, and taking care of things around the house are now condensed into weekends. I’ve tried to stay a couple blog articles ahead when I can, so I have a topic available, but still there have been some huge gaps between posts.
I have received proofs on Margarita’s Dance and The Suicide Squeeze. I am in the process of looking for readers who can help me with feedback on those two novels. If you are local and interested, drop and email. I could especially use Spanish language readers for Margarita’s Dance for some help editing translations.
In addition to the two novels I have close to publishing, I am still working on Dhaenen’s Land. I am sitting around the halfway point on the first draft at 250 pages. Unless I get some more time to focus on this novel, the end point is still a long way off. With the amount of research going into it, the process is extremely slow.
Four other novels are named and started: For Love and Honor (romance in the shadow of 9/11), Ashes to Ashes (a Whispers in the Wind Novel), It Happened Like That (a bittersweet loves story), and The Pied Piping of Peabody Pickerling (a whimsical coming of age novel). Of these novel projects, For Love and Honor is closest to publishing.
On the screenplay front, I am still shopping One Last to independent producers. I’ve also submitted a short script based on Margarita’s Dance. One new screenplay, Fish, was started. Three other screen plays : Mitch Sparkle: Ladies Man (a comedy), Whispers in the Wind (an adaptation of my novel), Oak Ghosts (a western), and two spec scripts all in the works.
That’s a summary of the projects I’m actively working on. Besides these projects, I’d estimate another six or seven projects that exist in some form or another. I hope someday I’ll get to them. Thanks for checking in, and if you’re getting tired of being locked down, I have six novels available to keep you company.
